Strict action will be taken against the culprits and the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission will maintain vigilance in this connection. Chairman of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Priyantha Kariyapperuma said that twelve obscene websites have been banned. The Telephone Companies and Internet Service Providers have agreed to ban such websites in case of recognition. Legal action will be taken against the individuals who post obscene pictures in the websites. This measure has been taken to protect the younger generation including school children.
