NCC explains stringent inspection procedures on China-made telecom equipment
Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC), in response to questions from industry players that it may want to block imports of telecoms equipment made by China-based makers including Huawei Technologies and ZTE through adopting stringent inspection procedures, explained that NCC is concerned about information and communication security risks incurred in using China-made telecom equipment.

The 20th Anniversary of the course, SYSC 4700: Telecommunication Engineering celebrated 4th June 2009. The MC was Professor Halim Yanikomeroglu to present the teacher. President Roseann Runte, Rafik Goubran Dean, Professor David Falconer (former coordinator), Robert Haughton (founder of the course), several professors, directors of Bell Canada, guest speaker and students were in the present event. It is a very special and unique, of course, due to a number of reasons. The course aims to give an overview of the world of telecommunications. It consists of seminars, conferences as delivered by experts from government laboratories, industry and universities. Besides the technical aspects of telecommunications, the course emphasizes aspects such as economy, related standards and regulatory issues-based. As far as we know, there are no Canadian university offers a course like engineering.
